How To Finalized The Hole Position And Size For Paper Bag

Many designers, due to their unfamiliarity with the structure of paper bag and die plate, they disregard the hole opening position and size for paper bag while doing the artwork desgin, then results in important information such as text, patterns, or trademarks being cutted during production, which affects the overall appearance of the paper bags and causes unnecessary losses.
 

So the hole opening position of the paper bag should be considered based on the paper bag size:

The first need to consider is the hole size. The hole size for a paper bag is generally determined by the thickness of the handle rope. For ordinary cotton rope, the hole opening size is about 3mm. If the handle rope is triple twisted rope, the hole opening size will be about 5mm.
 

The another thing we need to consider is the distance between the hole and the edge of the paper bag. Based on our experience, the distance between the hole center and the top indentation line is 20mm, and the distance between the two holes is: bag length ÷ 3+30mm.

As shown in the figure below: The size of the handbag is 300mm (length) * 80mm (width) * 330mm (height), so the distance between the two holes is: 300 ÷ 3+30=130mm.

The above are just the regular positions for hole openings during the paper bag production, and specific adjustments can be made according to the actual situation during the later production process.
